Monday -Thursday drop off times are between 7am  and 9am and pickup is between 4pm and 6pm. 

Friday – Sunday, drop off is between 8 and 10am, and pickup is between 3pm and 5pm.

We encourage prospective customers to come and tour our facility. Tours are offered by reservation any day between 10 and 4.

Initial “evaluation day” of daycare required before boarding (we often book up 2+ weeks in advance, so keep that in mind when scheduling!). A full report of your dog’s day will be given upon pickup, at which time boarding schedules can be confirmed. There is a $25 charge for the evaluation day of daycare.
We require Rabies, Bordetella, Parvo-Virus and Distemper (the latter two often referred to as DHPP or a derivative thereof). We need to have a copy of the veterinary vaccination record, paper or electronic. Most veterinary records contain a reminders section noting the expiration date of the vaccinations. Most vets are happy to email this information to us.
Yes! Due to the high demand of our doggy daycare program, reservations are requested 24 hours in advance. For last minute reservations, you are welcome to contact us to check availability.
Prestige will obtain an emergency number from the client upon arrival. In the event your pet becomes ill or requires medical attention, you will be notified immediately. Prestige will have your pet evaluated by the Animal Hospital of Lynchburg and their veterinarian will treat your pet accordingly. You will be responsible for any charges that occur.
We are more than happy to dispense oral and topical medications in your absence. We require that you provide you medications in their original pill bottle or packaging and we will administer them as directed with no additional costs. Please call if you have a pet that requires injections so that we can plan to meet those needs.
Yes! We want to maintain a pest free environment. We require that all dogs be on a flea and tick regimen.
Yes, Prestige accepts unaltered or intact pets. We have multiple play areas including private play areas to ensure that all pets receive the activity they need. If they are not able to play with other dogs, staff members will work one-on-one with that animal to promote socialization. We apologize but Prestige does not accept any dogs that are in heat.
Boarding reservations may be cancelled without charge if we receive notice 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival. Cancellations within the notice period are subject to a fee of $25.00 per dog ($50.00 for a holiday season cancellation).
No. Our kennel was designed to ensure that all our K9 visitors are safe and secure from any outside or physical harm. Dogs that need special care, such as late-night feeding, or walk, are accommodated. We use the time after hours when the kennel closes for one-on-one time, feeding, and ensuring that the pups have all they need for a goodnights rest.
Typically, when your dogs are dropped off, we give back your leash and collar unless you have a special request for our use. We always accommodate clients that have special requests.

The Prestige Kennel and Pet Services Holiday schedule is on effect for the following days:

  • Memorial Day (Monday May 30th)
  • July 4th (Monday)
  • Labor Day (Monday)
  • Thanksgiving (Thursday)
  • Christmas Eve/Day (Saturday/Sunday)
  • New Year’s Eve/Day (Saturday/Sunday)

ALL the listed dates above require a 3-night minimum if your stay includes that holiday. There will not be any drop off or pick up options on these dates.

Due to the volume of reservation requests received for these dates, you will be asked to secure your reservation with a one-night, non-refundable deposit. That deposit will be applied to your total when you check out. However, if you cancel the reservation for any reason, you will forgo that one-night payment.
